Congratulations on bringing your app one step closer to launch! When you’re ready to host it on a custom domain, our team will send you a few essential records: A records, a CNAME, and sometimes a TXT record. These records help direct your new domain to your app, and setting them up is simpler than it sounds. Here’s how it works.

Step 1: Access Your DNS Settings

Once you have your records, log in to your domain provider (e.g., GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains) and head to the DNS management area—this is where we’ll set up each record to point your domain to your app.

Step 2: Adding Your A Record

The A record connects your main domain (like "yourapp.com") to the IP address of your app. Here’s what to do:

  • Select “Add A Record.”

  • Enter Type as A, Name as “@” (for the main domain), and Value as the IP address we provided.

  • Save the changes.

Step 3: Setting Up the CNAME Record (if Needed)

For your “www” subdomain (e.g., "www.yourapp.com"), the CNAME record is essential:

  • Select “Add CNAME Record.”

  • Enter Type as CNAME, Name as “www,” and Value as the domain we provided.

  • Save the changes.

Step 4: Adding the TXT Record (if Needed)

Sometimes we include a TXT record for verification purposes:

  • Select “Add TXT Record.”

  • Enter Type as TXT, Name as “@” (or another value if specified), and Value as the text we provided.

  • Save this record.

Step 5: Finalizing the Process

DNS changes might take a few hours, and within 24 hours, your custom domain should be live and pointing to your app!
